The basic definition of VLAN pooling is to:
- Define two or more user VLANs within the controller
- Put two or more of those VLANs into the Virtual AP parameter so that users are load balanced into those VLANs.
There is nothing more to it than that.

In many cases VLAN pooling is the less desirable solution.
