I've given this article an attempt with no luck.

Perhaps I'm inputting some fields wrong or leaving something out.  Attached is the outputed file from the configuration utility.  Version of OS X is Yosemite.

Any help or feedback would be appreciated.  Thanks!

The iPhone Configuration Utility no longer works reliably.

Can you try building a system directory 802.1X profile using Profile Manager
    or your MDM?

I haven't yet.  We are using AirWatch as our MDM so will look into it and give it a try.
