Global credits are a way for ArubaOS to ensure that the many multicast discovery packets like mdns and dlna are limited. http://www.arubanetworks.com/techdocs/ArubaOS_6_5_4_X_Web_Help/Web_Help_Index.htm#ArubaFrameStyles/1CommandList/show_airgroup_global-credits.htm?Highlight=credits

Has anyone found that they had to bump these numbers up? We're having inconsitency with mDns and DLNA services recently. We haven't changed our version or setup in a long time because we rely on AirPlay in classrooms. I'm starting to wonder if we're overloading it now. I changed the defaults to airgroup global-credits 3000 1500 and still we block some every half hour. Will our performance hit be worse than our improvement in airgroup services? Can this even result in improvement?
Example snap from controller currently:
Type Value
---- -----
Query Packets 2779
Response Packets 1500

There is no easy answer to that question. You should open a TAC case with this post, because typically you would need to prune what VLANs and services are are being allowed to only what you need to get the numbers down under the platform limit. You would also need them to examine if your issues are a code issue or a configuration issue, which would not be easy to do on this forum.
