I have studied all of them but want to know which one is most appropriate /preferable ?

    Default is first one.

    Prefer-5GHz, Force-5GHz, Balance-bands ??

Of course this will depend on your requirements, but in most cases the default (prefer-5ghz) is what you want.

You probably do not want to use balance bands as you generaly want to have as many clients as possible on the 5ghz band.

Both 5 ghz band steering modes will hide the 2.4 ghz ssid from clients which sends probes on the 5ghz channel.

The only difference between prefer 5ghz and force 5ghz is that the "prefer" option lets the client connect using whatever band it prefers if the client has sent more than 8 probes in the last 10 seconds.

Force 5 ghz will not take this into account.

And if i use Balance-Band mode,

will  AP automatically selects the 5-GHz band clients to the 5-Ghz radio and 2.4-GHz band clients will connect on 2.4-GHz radio ?

    am i right ?

No, that is what the prefer 5ghz mode will do.

The Balance-Band mode will try and put the same number of clients on both bands.

For your reference; the behavior is as follows for "prefer 5.0 GHz":

The AP will not respond to a client’s 2.4GHz probe if all of the following are met:

    • The client has already probed the AP on the 5GHz band, therefore it is known to support 5GHz
    • The client is not currently associated to a 2.4GHz radio
    • The client has sent less than 8 probes in the last 10 seconds; if it has sent more than 8, the client will be able to connect on whatever band it prefers (up to the client)

If any of the above conditions are not met, the client is able to connect at 2.4GHz.   All of this assumes the client is capable and configured to support both bands.
