    Hi,

Will the MC 3600 be compatible with 802.11ac AP ?

If yes, in which conditions ?

    Thanks in advance.

The 3600 will support the 802.11ac APs when released. I'm not sure what you mean though by 'which conditions'?

    Hi,

    Sorry for the delay.

I tough about the rate capacity for this controller with 4 gigabit links, so how many Lan connected AP 802.11ac will be supported at a time ? Compared to the 128 AP 802.11n.

    Regards,

    Sylvain.

My understanding is the AP limit won't change, but yes if you are planning on running in tunnel-mode, you would be limited to a 4G uplink to the core. Depending on what your security and deployment requirements are, you could look at running APs in other modes. There will likely be a large amount of additional information coming out closer to launch.

    Hi,

I reply to a deal and i need approximately 30 access points supporting the 802.11ac protocol.

But today, only the MC 7200 can support officially this protocol and there is no communication for the MC 3600 at this subject.

What is the official position of Aruba?

Thanks in advance for your reply.

    Hi,

You ought to start a new thread for new questions really...

    3200 will support 32 APs.

Here's the Aruba controller matrix: http://www.arubanetworks.com/pdf/products/matrix-mobility-controller.pdf

Thank for your reply, but my question is the same that the thread:

Does the MC 3600 be compatible to manager AP in 802.11ac?

I know the limit of this product.

    Yes they will.

The AP220 (which support 802.11ac) series require minimum ArubaOS version 6.3. This version is supported all 3000 series controllers.

    Ok thanks.

Is there an official communication which will confirm your comments.

The AP225 release notes specify ArubaOS 6.3.

    http://www.arubanetworks.com/pdf/products/DS_AP220Series.pdf

ArubaOS 6.3 release notes show controller supported.

Here's what's available to download for version 6.3
