Have some 7200 controllers and 400 odd APs deployed/live.

Getting fed up of lldp pvid mismatch errors in switch logs and would like to switch off the vlan id/vlan name TLV on the APs - but would rather not cause them to unexpectedly reboot during operation..

I've created a new profile - is it safe to apply it? :)

It does not.  See the page here:  http://www.arubanetworks.com/techdocs/ArubaOS/6.4.4.x/Default.htm#ReleaseNotes/Overview/Important_Points.htm to see what causes a reboot or restart of the AP radio.
