    Posted Mar 19, 2012 04:16 PM

I recently upgraded Partition 1 to 6.1.2.6 following the proper procedure and with the correct amount of memory and storage. I am now trying to reboot the controller to Partition 1 but it will not take. I have set the boot partition and restarted inside the GUI and from the CLI. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

When you say it will not "Take" what are the steps you take and what happens?

As I mentioned in my post, after upgrading Partition 1, I set the default boot partition to Partition 1 and rebooted. The controller

continues to boot to Partition 0. I have tried these steps both in the GUI and in CLI. It was at a proper previous version to make the

upgrade and there was enough memory and storage for the upgrade. Any ideas?

    - What controller platform is this?

    - What are you upgrading from?

    - What method are you using to upgrade and did it finish?

When you upgrade a partition, the boot partition is automatically set to that partition, so you should only have to reboot to switch to that code.

    -3400

    -6.0.1.3

    -FTP and it finished successfully

Yeah usually it does switch to the partition you upgrade, but in this instance it did not. So I manually set it. Could that mean there is an issue with that partition? Should I upgrade or downgrade to a different version and try again?

    What are you upgrading from?

You should type "show image version" to make sure the upgrade was successful.  The console log on the controller will also tell you if there are problems during bootup.

When you reboot, you should capture the console logs to see if anything is amiss.  If that does not work, please open a case with support.

Upgraded Partition 1 again only this time through a console connection. Upgrade was successful. Rebooted controller to Partition 1 successfully. Got to love the GUI; sometimes it works and other times not so much. Thanks again for your help.
