I am evaluating the Aruba IAP 105s and some of the built-in wireless network cards in our laptops/netbooks do not get a good signal from the APs.  I installed a Linksys USB wireless NIC and the signal strength improved, but it is still not as good as some of the other laptops.  Does anyone have any recommendations for USB NICs that they have used?  Thanks.

    jimharbert,

when you say "do not get as good a signal from the AP's"  How are the AP's mounted, wall, ceiling etc.  The AP 105's are optimized for ceiling mount and perform best wen mounted about 9-20 feet above the floor.

The APs are mounted on the ceiling.

Moving under Mobile Devices board for more visibility.

I've given some users who have old Dell laptops the Cisco WUSB600N and so far it has worked for us. BTW, it's on Aruba's list of tested wireless cards. :smileywink:
