Wireless SSID Vlan at VPN Site

    Remote site will connect via VPN and host its own networks.

     

    Aruba Controller at Main will supply WIFI

     

    My quesition is :

     

    Does the Aruba Controller have to have the SSID Vlan tagged on its uplink?

     

    Or would I be able to use a VLAN sourced from at the remote site

    There's enough information about your environment missing to make a meaningful answer difficult to formulate. ;)

    Are you thinking of layer-2 tunneling or layer-3? If layer 2 the VLAN will have to exist on the AP and the controller, if 3 it can exist only on the AP but the IP subnet will have to be known to the controller to ensure packet forwarding.
