Wirless latency for g client

    Hi,

    We have 7210 controller running 6.4.2.8 with AP-205 & AP 105 at multiple branches which are connected through MPLS & P2P network. Average users per AP=25

    We have configured SSID as Employee(Bridge mode), printer, mobile, ipad(Tunnel mode) & Guest (Captive portal)

    This setup is working fine from last 1.6 Year but suddenly we are geting latency for "g" client only. rest of client working fine. 95% client are using "g" adapter. there are 200 laptop added in last month.

    I am facing this issue one of my branch. there are 3 floor. All floors covered by glass wall. On my floor there is 3 AP installed, as i see all three AP have same channel (11) for 2.4 radio. I have assigned static channel to all AP & tested the latetency. But sitll suddenly geting latency.

    ARM log has been attached.

    As per ATAC observation,

    Overall, RF is not clean and prone to high interfernce which is the cause for the ping losses in g radio.

    You may have to take actions in eliminating the interference by doing a site survey and identifying the interferening APS and remove them.

     

    Please suggest any alternative to fix this issue.

    How do you have the ARM max/mix power levels?

    Do you have broadcast / multicast enabled?

    Hi,

     

    The ARM max/mix power levels = 9/15
    broadcast / multicast enabled = Yes.

     

    If i configured static channel for g radio, latency slightely decreases but sometime getting RTO.

    Hi,

     

    As i checkecked, controller was assigning channel no. 11 most of the AP. we have three AP on the same floor and they are getting channel no. 11.

    After assigned static channel 1,6 & 11 to AP latency decrease & no RTO observed. We have monitor the setup 2 days and that working fine.

    I have observe the same behaviour on other floor also but after assigned static channel issue got resolved.

     

    I wonder, why controller is assigning same channel to neighbouring AP.
