With Plan being gone - is there any other way to locate clients?

    Being a school at times it's necessary for me to attempt to get a physical location of a client.   Students bring their own devices and use school iPads and I can't tell who or where they are using my web filter.  

     

    To get around that I would look up the client record in Aruba and then locate the device.  It wasn't perfect but many times it gave me a close enough location to find the student. 

     

    With that being gone now in the latest release.  Is there any other way to triangulate using the access points and locate a client?

    I don't. I never added it due to cost.

    If you have your maps in the standalone VisualRF where all your APs are located and with a combination of commands you get this information of course is not the best from a management perspective :

    show wms ap-list
    show ap monitor ap-list ap-name
    show ap monitor client-list ap-name
    show ap monitor active-laser-beams ap-name
