account login delegation

hi,

we want our helpdesk/desktop team to register wireless users by creating a separate account in the WLC without assigning the role of root. the challenge is, none of the remaining roles is capable of providing the appropriate access level except the root. is there a work around on this?

Thanks.

Re: account login delegation

Are these Guest wireless users or users to manage guest users?  Guest-Provisioning would not work?

Re: account login delegation

this is an account to manage guest users specifically to register mac addresses of the wireless devices. when i set the role to guest-provisioning, the account doesn't log in straight to the WLC(see the attachment). if i set the role to network-operations, the account logged in straight to the WLC but the configuration tab isn't accessible.

Re: account login delegation

There is no role specifically to meet the task of adding user mac addresses; only usernames and passwords via the guest provisioning role.  To achieve what you want, you will have to consider a third party tool.
