    Hi,

Would someone be able to help point me in the right direction. I have two ap's currently connected for testing. An ap303 and a ap315, the 315 creates error messages on the access switch. these can vary from every 1-10 minutes. controllers are 7210.

    Thanks,

    Rob

we are using 5406 zl2 switches, the vlan which the ap's are connected to do not have jumbo frames enabled.

are you suggesting that perhaps the ap and controller are negiotiating 1578 and passing this onto the switch?

It is basically the access points doing path mtu discovery every minute.  The article here:  https://community.arubanetworks.com/t5/ArubaOS-and-Controllers/Oversize-jumbo-frame-errors/m-p/5421/highlight/true#M1860 explains it better.  You can set the MTU to 1500 in the AP system profile of the AP group to make the giants go away, but they are cosmetic, really.

I have set the SAP MTU ito 1500 in the AP Group profile, i needed to enable the show advanced profiles option under user/preferences first to see  the profiles tab to make changes in the GUI. Thanks for your help.
