    Good Morning

It is my understanding that 7210 controllers cannot withstand a hard shut down or immediate loss of power. Shutdown has to be initiated by GUI or CLI, correct?

Has anyone set up a system? Or is there a way to automate shutdown of a 7210 controller?

We backup flash and have pri and sec controllers so DB is sync

    Thank you

    JB2014,

Where did you hear that it cannot stand a hard shutdown?

    Hello cjoseph

The Aruba Engineer who installed the hardware.
    Was he wrong?
Can the 7210 in fact withstand a cold shutdown? And be able to be
    restarted without any problems?

    JB2014,

    He is not correct.

The 7200 is designed to be powered down and restarted without problems.  If you do have a problem, you should open a TAC case, so that they can get to the bottom of it.
