    Hello Experts,

when we define bandwidth contracts on the aruba contoller using the command "aaa bandwidth-contract guest-bw-ctr mbits 2" , basically we are saying that the traffic will be limited to 2 mbps for the guest ssid ?

so that the total bandwidth which can be given to guest users would be 2 mbps which is irrespective of the number of the users connecting to guest ?

then we go ahead and apply the following commands in the guest user role , can somebody explain what will be the difference between per ssid and per user bandwidth contracts ?

per user means that depending upon the number of users connecting to guest each user will be able to send 2 mbps up and down traffic , and the number of users is like 20 then we would need to have bandwidth of 40 mbps , can somebody clarify this please ?

user-role guest-user-role ------ is that for the entire ssid ?
    bw-contract guest-bw-ctr upstream
    bw-contract guest-bw-ctr downstream
    !
    !
    user-role guest-user-role ------------------ is that for per-user ?
    bw-contract guest-bw-ctr per-user upstream
    bw-contract guest-bw-ctr per-user downstream
    !

When you apply a bandwidth contract to a role, it applies to everyone in that role and everyone has to share that bandwidth.  That would mean whatever is defined is shared among people in that role.

If you apply it to a role and make it per user, each user is restricted to the bandwidth you configure.

How can I also cap how much bandwidth an ssid can use? Say I want per user and per ssid bandwidth shaping.
