when you have an ssid on bridge mode on rap or campus mode.

let say you got on the remote site a nps i mean the aaa server  and the aps on bridge mode.
But the controller is on the central site.   the 802.1x request are done still by the controller ?? i mean that on that scenario is useless having a local aaa server unless you get a controller on the remote site as well

    cheers

Yes Carlos, with Campus APs or Remote APs (traditional RAP mode), the controller is always the authenticator (RADIUS Client).....regardless of the forwarding mode.    IAP or RAP-NG deployments can take advantage of localized AAA servers.

    Yes.

The GRE tunnel will have the dot1x traffic to the controller on bridge mode or split tunnel
