    Greetings,

     

      the objective is whenever guest user redirects to the captive portal page(html), they have to submit their email adress( the email address will be saved to database) then redirect to internet for access.

     

    I already able to reach the captive portal thru guest-logon role, however I can't change its role to guest upon clicking "submit" button in external captive portal.

     

    what could be missing? is it in the page or controller?

     

    controller: Aruba 3400

    firmware: 6.3.1.5

    Have you configured the post-authentication Default Role under the Captive Portal Profile?

    What is your HTML for the Captive Portal?

    Typically the HTML submits a hidden username and password to change the user's role.  Please see the page here:  http://www.arubanetworks.com/techdocs/ArubaOS_64x_WebHelp/Web_Help_Index.htm#ArubaFrameStyles/Captive_Portal/Internal_Captive_Portal.htm?Highlight=external captive portal

     

    The page above shows an internal captive portal example, but there is no diference in the HTML that does what you want.
