    Hi masters,

    customer asked me the calculation.

How many concurrent users under below situaiton?

    - 2.4GHz only

    - 1 x AP only

    - 4x4:4

    - 20MHz or 40MHz channel width

    - 1G internet bandwidth

    - assume each user consumes 5Mbps

    Thanks.

With 2.4GHz only, there are lots of external factors that will complicate this calculation. I suggest that the 1Gbps internet link is not the limiting factor here (with a single AP). 40MHz channel width is not recommended in 2.4GHz. A single AP will have a max data rate of about 217Mbps, so expect about half that for useable throughput. Other wireless networks operating around your channel (2.4GHz channels are not non-overlapping) will also impact your max throughput, as will non-wifi sources of interference.
