i have the problem with the second port of aruba 7210 controller, it is not coming up and showing up as "down" as mentioned below. not able to negotiate speed and duplex

    UAM-CLCAR-MB02MDF-WC01) # show interface gigabitethernet 0/0/1

GE 0/0/1 is up, line protocol is down

Can you confirm the physical connectivity again? Port description on the controllers says 2/17 and the output you have provided is 2/10.

Also, can you share port configs from both sides?

please ignore the description on the port it is incorrect and a typo, i will share the port configuration from both sides.

As a test, have you tried hard setting the duplex and speed to see if the port comes up?

i have tried that on the switch side to set the speed and duplex as manual and bounced the port , still no luck.

on the aruba controller i havent tried that yet, as i will have to take the port out of port-channel and then set the speed and duplex manually , if i do that will there be any impact on the network , i guess not , right ?

There shouldn’t be providing your port channel is working as expected and there is still an interface in the port channel group :)
