dual supervisor

    Hello everyone,

     

    i hope this question wouldn't be so dumb...but, what would it be the best way to configure a 6000 controller with dual SC M3??? is there any way to manage both M3 as one, but with doubled capabilities???? what would be desireable is to have both M3's active at the same time, behaving as one and only device, and managed also as one...

    You would configure those M3s as master/local to achieve that.

     was wondering if it would be some hardware related configuration that would simplify the configuration in terms of  logical interfaces and so on, because of the shared chassis...that is, that they would become one doubled-M3 with only one configuration, or al least, some kind of redundant supervisor awaiting for the failing of the other one...

    M3 controllers in the Same chassis do not share anything besides a power source.  You have to configure them as master/local for them to share the WLAN/AAA config.  After you configure the master/local relationship, you still have to configure the layer2/layer3 portions of each controller individually.
