    Controller 7010 v 8.5.0

    AP x 5 model 535

APs will not pull license from pool.  Started with temp license, moving to purchased licenses  APs just keep rebooting but never pull license from pool

Is this a standalone deployment or Mobility Master environment?   Is the AP coming up as unlicensed on the controller (L flag) or not coming up at all?

Can you share the following from the 7010/managed device you are expecting the AP to come up on:

    • show log system | include <mac of AP>
    • show ap database
    • show ap license-usage
    • show license client-table

    thanks clembo

this is a standalone, but in the GUI there are two tiers of control:  Mobility Controller and Aruba7010_2E_D8_6C  Cannot find documentation why is presented in GUI this way for a standalone setup.

The APs come up with flags 2IL

This little set was up and running last week finally, then the controller moved to new location (same trunking setup).  At the same time, the provisional AP license expired, but the purchased AP license should have replaced that.

For the first output; you left out the "| include statement"

show log system | include 00:4e:35:c4:81:1e

I don't have a standalone in front of me, but try disabling PEF and RFP under licensing.   Licence counts need to match for these features and AP licensing.   See image attached.

Disabled PEF and RFP, will need to watch for a few minutes while APs cycle again (on their own)

Am not getting anywhere with various iterations of this command.  The carot appears under "include" with this iteration

    (Aruba7010_2E_D8_6C) [mynode] #(Aruba7010_2E_D8_6C) [mynode] #show log system | include 00:4e:35:c4:81:1e

clembo - success.  Disabling PEF and RFP - the provisional licenses were already showing expired - seems to have done the trick.  APs are now fully up and clients are connecting.  Your insight much appreciated
