hi all but i got the problem when i put master n local in different vlan :

    master : vlan 50 : 10.10.50.4/24

    local  : vlan 100 : 10.10.100.1/24
    master lihat pair.PNG

and when i look in local controller the master is unreachable

    local lihat pair.PNG

i think i set it up correctly, like ipsec key. but still in master when i check #show switches, still no local controller.

but when i put local controller in same vlan with master everything looks smoothly.

    what i missed?

    Hi,

Only the master and standby controllers have to be on the same vlan. But master and local just needs a layer 3 connectivity.

    Thanks,

Can you ping both default gateways for each VLAN from both controllers

    Hi,

Clear all the Master-Local configs from both the controllers. You can verify it by running "show run | include masterip" on local. And "show run | include localip" on master.

Once the configs are cleared, reboot the local controller so that the ipsec map will go away.

Then check if the master and local controllers are able to ping each other. If there is any confusion with VLAN, it's better to ping by specifiying the source VLAN.

If the connectivity is fine, rebuild the master-local. If that doesn't fix, raise a TAC case for troubleshooting further.

    Thanks,

    Rajaguru Vincent

I believe there are no master-local issues seen so far with 6.4.2.15 on 70xx controllers.

    Thanks,

    You would use named VLANs.
