mixing aps 325 with aps 315 or 305 and 315 in one area

I was wondering if there would not be issue doing this in a certain area.

Im thinking in putting to a client in a large office  315 and 305.

They got areas in which they have a lot of users all toguether(which im planning on using 315) and also next that area a 305 which they dont hafve many users.   There are users that sits in the middle of those APS and maybe some users that are a bit far fromt he 315 might still want to connect to the 315 even if the 305 is closer.

I know that for example if i had a ap 205 which is 2x2 and a ap 215 3x3  i would have possible weird behaviors with the client

The 315 is a 4x4:4SS MU MIMO and the 300 is a 3x3:3ss SU 3x3:2MU MIMO

Will i have issues if i put them toguether?

My second question

What about the 325 and 315? can i mix them uo un the same enviroment?

Cheers

Carlos

Should not be an issue. What I have seen issues with is mixing 802.11n 20/40MHz with 80MHz 802.11ac. Mixing APs of the same generation should not have any issues, given capacity and coverage planning is done properly.

Re: mixing aps 325 with aps 315 or 305 and 315 in one area

Hello Hernan

I was asking because i read that some clients would prefer 3x3 over 2x2, it can create a weird client behavior sometimes.

You still think its not a problem specifically mixing a lot of 305 with like 3 315 and 2 325?

We just got the 325 on meetig rooms, and a few 315 in areas with high density in one office, but most of the office, the areas are like 20 devices per area at max.  The coverage is really good on 5ghz as far i see on the airwave planner(visual RF on airwave)

It is a standard design to put high-end APs in high-density area's, the mid-range in normal offices and low end in places where you just need coverage. I did not hear issues with that when mixing APs of the same WLAN version (100 series 11n, 200-series 11ac, 300-series 11ac wave2).
