need to move config from 7220 controller to 6000 controller

    I need to take the backup off a 7220 controller and move it to a M3 Controller in a 6000 Chassis., is this even possible?  with the hardware diferences, will this work?  Is there anydocumentation that is available for this?

    Thought of a possible work around, can I make the M3 a local off of the 7220, then remove it and promote it to a master?  Is it possible to promote a local to a master?  Doing this for a test lab to vet new OS versions..

    That is the best way to do it.

     

    Yes, you can promote a local to a master.
