We have an Aruba controller in which we use sattefull firewal.

However since it keep sessions; in presence of a syn flood, the session table reaches its capacity and other users are not able to use the system untill the flood ends. Is there a way to limit the maximum sessions based on source IP.

There might be a better way of doing this however I know you can limit the session limit based on the user role. This configures a maximum number of sessions per user in this role. The default is 65535. You can configure any value between 0-65535.

Configuration -> Access Control -> Security User Roles then edit the Max Sessions under the role.

Where is this syn flood coming from?  Is it coming from a user or external device?
