    Hi,

I am seeing a substantial amount of "Unspecified Failure" when looking over "show ap client trail-info".  Does anyone have any idea what this means?

Unspecified Failure = Deauth from client for no specific reason.

It could be a client roam.  It is not a "failure" specifically.

Do a packet capture on air to see why this DEAUTH frames showed up as there is many open sorce tools thatcan do that throgh a linux systems used by hackers

I am still seeing plenty of those in the trail-info.  Never got around to actually troubleshooting to figuring out whether it's legitimate or not...

"unspecified failure" in general is when the controller receives a deauth from a client, but there is no specific reason code.  It is not something that you should go looking for, necessarily.  If you are having a problem with a client it should be noted, however.  Otherwise it is not conclusive and should be ignored.

i know i am late to this discussion, but i am seeing the unspecified failure on my laptop when we built a cluster in AOS8.4

once we built the cluster and my client moved i would get deauthed from and would not reauth. We were told to use VRRP addresses for the 2 controller cluster. do the VRRP addresses do anything on the radius server? We don't see the VRRP address in the syslog and only see the deauth coming from the controller IP address. Should the VRRP cluster addresses be added to the radius server list?

    thank you
