resetting lab controller

Looking for the best way to reset a lab environment controller to a "gold" config. Would like to write a script to automatically load a known good config in case someone overwrites the startup config. Can we save a config file to flash and then load it?

Whatever you save to flash (copy running-config flash: <filename>) survives a write erase all, but if someone deletes it, it will be gone.
