strange discrepancy in lacp bundle
12-17-2018 06:38 AM - edited 12-17-2018 06:45 AM
I have created an LACP trunk on a 7210 controller running aruba os 8.3.0.4 using ten gig sfp modules
In the text view of the config both ports are identical, but in the gui view I have both ports with native vlan 1, but I see access vlans 1 and 10
port config
lacp trunk
every config change results in an error message :
"Illegal operation: Interface belongs to a port channel group"
even when i modify unused interfaces in shutdown mode
any clue what's going on ?

I have removed the interface g 0/0/2 holding vlan 10 from the bundle.
But there is no place vlan 10 shows in the config of that interface
g 0/0/2 removed from trunk
config of g 0/0/2

You can check what configuration have been applied to MC by running the show configuration effective | include vlan command from the MM /folder the MC was assigned to
Thank you

Victor
Thanks for the time you spend here.
Let me explain my activities.
The controller was connected to an IRF stack of H3C switches using two 1g links. They used ports g0/0/0 and g0/0/1 on the controller and showed as PC1
A new stack of switches win TenGig Interfaces was installed, and I created a lacp bundle PC2 using interfaces g0/0/2 and g0/0/3. I created the PC2 trunk wit its switchhports shut, and for migration i Shut the switchports of PC1 and unshut the ones for PC2.
Everything was fine. A few days later the troubles began showing the error messages from above. I have not been onsite last week, So I cannot tell what happened in detail. but the discrepancy in the config of the two trunk members is obvious.
I will run the command you recommended when I am back onsite and report the output.
Cheers
Albert

Running "show configuration effective" shows interface g 0/0/2 as shutdown.
But show interface g 0/0/2 shows it up/up
strange ....sh conf effective
