WLC 7010 uses windows AD server as a Radius server fto achieve wireless users able to use their windows (AD) username & password for network /internet access.

we are using local captive portal and authentication server as a Radius (Radius service installed on Domain controller).

now someone conected to SSID browser redirect to captiv portal, once they enter windows username & password (active directory) internet /network access granted. and users details (username, device, etc) are listed on controller monittoring page.

    we need to know following

    1. cane we (administrator) forcefully disconnect a particular user session.

    2. can we generate userwise network usage (example: total connected time, data upload and download size, etc)

    1. You can disconnect the user/device from the Controller Interface or CLI.

    2. The controller does not keep  a history of the connectivity data. For this, you can use RADIUS accounting and send the info to your RADIUS server. Not sure how NPS handles RADIUS accounting these days. Can search online for NPS RADIUS accounting. If not, ClearPass is a good alternative for AAA and policy enforcement, and will provide you the reporting capabilities you are asking for.

You can do either of the following to disconnect a device:

    1. WebUI: Monitoring > Clients. Select the client and the disconnect button will be active.

    2. CLI: "aaa user delete" command. Issue a "?" after the delete to see the various options -- can be IP, MAC, AP, etc.
