users cannot ping gateway

  • 1.  users cannot ping gateway

    controller is aruba 6000US.  6.4.4.8.  They can connect, but can't even ping gateway.  i asked them to release and renew, they got message cannot not perform while disconnected.  had them configure static and they still cannot ping gateway.  but they are connected.

    Is there an Access control entry that denies ICMP in the user role of the user?

     

    This can be checked using " show rights <role the user is in> "

    I agree
    The policy can be seen in the GUI,,,, yet easier fore to view with CLI.
    the standard rigjhts are only going to permit DNS & HTTPS.

    ICMP needs to be permitted

    It ended up  being some kind of bug.  When we moved the connection to another interface, things started working again.
