The useless chatty protocols like bonjour, netbios would be dropped and not replicated downstream. That allows for more unicast traffic to be used in their place. DHCP is excluded from this.

Windows clients that are in a domain typically use DNS and not broadcast protocols to locate resources, so they are fine UNLESS your users rely on broadcasts to locate printers.
