AOS10 'Cluster' comfigurations

    I am a Partner demonstrating new AOS10 capabilities with a small deployment. A large customer had a great question! 

    They use Aruba Central today with a separate cluster in each of many buildings (dozens of buildings). Each cluster may have all SSID's but have custom RF tuning per-build (as an example). This is the beauty of Group Level and VC/Cluster level config is that we can have one set of configs but then have one-off configurations per-cluster. 

    How is this accomplished with AOS10 which is cluster-less, no VC?

    My answer was a separate group for each building. Then they asked how they would make an SSID change or add a new User-Role. Would they have to go to each group? Naturally the answer was, yes. Then I got blank stares and concerned how they would manage the environment moving forward... without the need for API's and functions outside of Central to accomplish the same group/vc configs as in AOS6/8. 

    Thoughts?

    you can have different groups for sure, you can also have device level configuration which will be used over the group configuration.

    Device level configurations are great for one-off configurations but not the same as Cluster configurations. Some buildings for larger customers may have several hundred AP's in each of several buildings. 

    Maintaining a separate group for each building will be the way to go. Creating or manipulating an SSID then would be a matter of how many groups you have. This is not the worse ever, we just lose one level of configuration granularity we have today.

    You can clone a group and create a separate group for low density and a high density with different RF profiles.
    Local override at device level is possible for some smaller tweaks per AP.

    It should be awesome if we could export/import  configuration parts form one the another group of device level.
