    Hi,

We are currently deploying 802.1x supplicant for IAPs uplink. However, we encounter different problems when doing it.

    Firmware Version: 8.9.0.2_83-74 / 8.7 initially

    Hardware: AP505

    Radius Server: Freeradius

    What happened:

    1. 1. AP configured with 802.1x uplink(tried both TLS & PEAP) the radius server log shows no authentication record(not even auth fail). AP log's time is in 1970 and said timeout.
    2. We have changed to a new switch with a different brand, and it still did not work.
    3. Yet, the PC can successfully authenticate. We then found out if we set the uplink VLAN ID to native(0/1). The problem vanished.
    4. 2.The second problem is about the dot1x certificate.
    5. In the GUI setting, we cannot upload any CA/cert. It says certificate txt error(tried TFTP & HTTP).
    6. However, the same cert can be uploaded successfully in maintenance>certificate for WebUI. And the certificate&CA were successfully uploaded using CLI without problems.

Please let me know if you need any logs or settings for your reference. Thank you
