    Hi,

We are trying to inject an AP-535 with a PoE injector, but the APs power LED turns solid red after a few minutes.
The AP is fine as it works when injected with a different, similarly rated injector, but not with this particular model (UK/IRE model).

The Intellinet Network Solutions Gigabit PoE++ Injector provides up to 95 W using all four pairs of twisted-pair network cabling to support IoT applications such as lighting, sensors and building automation. Nurse call systems require 30 to 50 watts of power. Point-of-sale card readers & printers need up to 60 watts.

We've disabled LLDP, PoE on the switch port but no joy.
Apologies if this is the wrong forum :)

    Regards,

    John.

In the data sheet for that injector it looks like there is a switch to change PoE operation. What have you set it to? Have you tried the other settings?

The solid red LED indicates a system error. It might be possible to get some more details about the state with a console cable if you have one available.

The worst case power consumption of an AP535 when not powering an external USB device is 26.4W. So your power supply is very highly spec'd. It's certainly unlikely that it's supplying too little power to the Access Point.
