    Hello Community,

we pluged 10 APs to Aruba switch and when APs are shown online we unpluged it and plug next10 APs in the total 66 APs
in Aruba Central we find a 7 muliple Virtual control (1 for each 10 APs was pluged in same time)
could you please to advice if there are in issue when install APs in the Site or will this impacting the network
And what are the suggestions until we have one VC
    Best regards

    Two things to check.

1.) Make sure that all the APs are running the same version. Number matters not the name. For instance ArubaInstant_Centaurus_8.6.0.17_83573 and ArubaInstant_Vela_8.6.0.17_83573 will work together because they have the same 8.6.0.17_83573. If they are running the same version, they can join the same VC cluster.

2.) If Auto-Join turned on? If not, APs will not join the cluster unless it is manually added.

    Hi Justin,

Is it going to impact the network if say new AP is having higher version number than the current VC in network?

    Please guide.

    Thanks,
    Nilesh Kahar.

No. The AP will just not join the current cluster. I would however keep that newer version AP off or unplugged when upgrading the current cluster. You don't want the current APs joining a default config on the higher version VC.
