12916E switch chassis SDRAM Size?

    Hello, let me ask you a question.
    It's not technology, it's a spec question.

    I was able to check the following specifications through the 12900E series datasheet.
    My question is that why are the two models different in memory?
    Can 16-slot backbone also support 16G RAM when using Type X modules?

    ---HPE FlexFabric 12916E switch chassis---
    Memory and ProcessorQuad Core MIPS64 @ 1.2 GHz, 1 GB flash, 8 GB DDR2 SDRAM

    ---HPE FlexFabric 12908E Switch Chassis---
    Quad Core MIPS64 @ 1.2 GHz, 1 GB flash, 8 GB DDR3 SDRAM
    Quad Core @ 2.2 GHz, 8 GB flash, 16 GB DDR3 SDRAM(Type X modules)

    I had to look at the specifications in more detail.

    I found that Type X modules could not be used in 16 slot chassis.
