AOS-CX Switch Simulator

Hi, all!

I was looking at the ASP, trying to download the new release of the AOS-CX Switch Simulator (10.08). However, it seems that it requires device registration of an Aruba switch before letting you download the simulator. I was under the impression that the switch simulator wouldn't require device registration, since it's just an OVA to be used in a lab and that anyone with valid ASP access could have access to download it. This understanding is supported by the fact that 10.07 (the current "recommended" simulator release) doesn't require device registration.

Could anyone help clarify whether this behavior is correct or not and, if so, why? Thanks!

Correct. According to this article, you should not have to register devices:

As I mentioned in my original post, I can download the 10.07 simulator OVA without device registration. Good confirmation that I shouldn't need to register devices to get the 10.08 OVA, if that post's trend continues for the 10.08 release.
