Bharatanatyam, or dance of India, is an art form rooted in tradition and structure. After 14 years of training, we wanted to delve into different dance styles from Bollywood, to Kpop, to Hip hop, contemporary, and more. Discovering this diversity in dance inspired us to craft our own definition of Bharatanatyam that is contemporary, modern, and still authentic to its roots. This journey marked the start of Fuchsia Dance, an effort to redefine fusion and make Bharatanatyam global, accessible, and impactful to all audiences.
