    anyone know when and why Clearpass adds the routes below :-

    169.254.0.0/16 dev eth0 scope link metric 1002
    169.254.0.0/16 dev eth1 scope link metric 1003

    Those network ranges are 'APIPA Automatic Private IP Addressing' ranges, check here for more information. Those networks are non-routable and ClearPass does not have an IP address in that range. My assumption for the routes is that you prevent return traffic when anyone used an APIPA IP address to send traffic to ClearPass.
