    Good morning to all,

    I'd like to receive some more information regarding the topic.
    We currently have 2930M and 2930F switches, either standalone or stacked.

    We'd like to add 10G connectivity.

    As far as I understand from the documentation:

    - 2930F only supports 10G Fiber Optic in its SPF+ slots, no BASE-TX transceivers or SFPs

    - 2930M does not support any 10G in its SFP slots
    -- we may add a JL083A in the rear slot, but this only supports 10G DAC or Fiber Optic in its SPF+ slots, no BASE-TX transceivers or SFPs
    -- we may add a JL081A in the rear slot, but this only supports four fixed 10G BASE-TX ports

    As such, neither with the 2930F nor with the 2930M we can have a single switch with 10GB FO and 10GB BASE-TX at the same time.

    Is that correct?

    If this is the case, could you recommend a switch which can support 10GB FO and 10GB BASE-TX at the same time, starting with the bottom product series upwards?

    You can filter the switches by the port type/speed, compare them and after that check the datasheets for more detailed information. (there are hyperlinks to the product details, when you open more details for each switch).

    The 2930M has 4 versions with Smart Rate ports that will take you up to your 10G Base-T ports and then add the JL083A for your 10G SFP+ off the back module.

     

    Models are JL323A, JL324A, ROM67A, ROM68A
