The release notes have dropped the AP335 and 345 from the supported devices list but there is a Resolved Issue AOS-239341 which says that it fixes an AP345 issue with high utilisation.  I also can't see anything in the release notes or on the download site that says whether this release is an SSR or LSR.

Obviously I won't be updating the production network for some time, but can anyone clarify these points?

AOS-239341 was fixed and released in multiple versions including 8.12.0.0. For example, 8.10.0.6 (Resolved Issues in ArubaOS 8.10.0.6).

    8.12 is a SSR.

Thanks, that explains it.  So the 335/345 are dropped in this release even though they are still supported to October 2026?

    335/345 were deprecated in 8.11 onwards. https://www.arubanetworks.com/techdocs/ArubaOS_8.11.0_Web_Help/Content/arubaos-solutions/whats_new.htm

... and correct about the dropped support in releases above 8.10. You can still run the AOS 8.10 release (supported till Apr 13, 2027) on those APs till the end of support date of the AP.

It's a case of weighing up the benefit of bugfixes against the cost of replacing equipment.  8.12 had a couple of fixes to minor issues I had raised so was hoping to be able to go up to it but if it's only an SSR and I have to replace 61 APs, I will probably just live with the problems a bit longer.

Thank you both for clear and helpful responses.

Would the bug fixes not be added to 8.10 since its an LSR?

8.10 will continue to get bugfixes.

Ah!  That's good news.  TAC told me my fixes would be in 8.12 but I have just checked and they are in 8.10.10 as well.
