    Hello airheads!

We have a 7010 controller that we have used in the past for RAPs. There is currently only one left on there and I would like to take the controller to AOS8. I've found various vids and docs on the setup but nothing about a fresh install. How do I go about getting the AOS8 code on there and starting fresh? I don't need to keep any config.

If you upload 8.x code to a 6.x controller, you effectively do a write erase all.

Please see the document here, if that is what you are trying to do:  https://higherlogicdownload.s3.amazonaws.com/HPE/MigratedAssets/Migration_to_ArubaOS_8_Tech_Note.pdf

Hi, if you don't need to keep any config you can upload the AOS8 code to the controller, boot on  V8, then make a write erase and you can start fresh.

In the initial wizard just make sure to select standalone if you don't have the Mobility Conductor VM.

    Hope this helps.
