    Hello

I have one 7005 controller which is correctly configured, and a new AP-635.  I connected the two devices to the same IPv4 network.   However the controller cannot discover the AP.

When I logged into the AP's WebGUI and tried to download by manully typing the controller's IPv4 address. It still failed,   I got this error:

Can you give more information on how the APs are discovering the Controller?
By DHCP Options, DNS or L2 Discovery?

Can you please give an output of "show version" of the Controller

Are you triying to setup the convert-aos-ap on the 635 against the VRRP Address or the physical Address of the VRRP Master? I assume this is a standalone environment without any Mobility Conductor, right?

For L3, either use DHCP option 43 (Vendor Spesific Info), or DNS host record aruba-conductor (from 8.9.0.0), and aruba-master to locate the controller, and FTP (default) or TFTP at the controller.

However default L2 mechanism is ADP (Aruba Discovery Protocol) ADP is enabled by default on all Aruba APs and managed devices. With ADP, APs send out periodic multicast and broadcast queries to locate the Mobility Conductor.
(Check if running : show adp config, if not run: adp discovery enable and adp igmp-join enable.)
