    Hello everyone,

Last week I updated my IMC to the latest version E0710P03 and then wanted to update the firmware of my Arubas 2530, 2930 and CX 6000 using a deployment task. This always worked before the IMC update, but now I get the following error on the 2530 and 2930:
Is there anyone else getting this error? Is it a bug in the new IMC version?

Thank you in advance and best regards

    Hi,
    1. no consistency in version E0710P03 below E0708.P03
    2. 2540,2920,2930  <backup failed>
    but
2626,2650,2824,5308,5400  <backup ok >- in my opinion it is a bug
    3. Problem with sorting by version of Avaible Software (Firefox,Chrome)

    Service > Configuration Center

not working: sort by <Latest Available Version>

    Best Regards

    Hello

same problem in my environment after upgrade to E0710P03.

I cannot deploy task to device and cannot backup software. What is a strange for me that I can for example backup all config from stacked switches only. I think that this is bug and should be immediately fixed.

    Hello !

Same problem here. Since last iMC update E0710P03 we are unable to flash 2530 series.

Please HPE Team fix it immediatly.

The alert CVE-2024-26303 is important and we must upgrade all switches as soon as possible !

    Best Regards.

config backup is partly wasted after updating to E0710P03. too.

    this is kinda annoying.

some devices backup just fine (didn't actually check for details), some devices don't.

    a workaround would be nice.

since TAC wasn't - sorry to say - of much help here, and E0710P04 didn't fix the problem of being unable to backup some (not all) devices, i fiddled around and could get iMC to backup all of our devices just like before.

i'll share my findings - hopefully this helps someone out there. here's what i did

    • switched to plain text password view in system settings (no idea whether this was crucial)
    • accessed the device page of a switch that wouldn't do a config backup
    • Configure -> Modify SSH Settings
    • without changing anything, i pressed the 'Test' button, waited for the 'Success' message and pressed 'OK' afterwards

did that for all the failed devices, et voilá... config backup works for all devices as expected.

    Hi,

sorry you had so much trouble.  Could you please share the ticket number and I will check why you didn't get the hot patch for 710P03 which  cleared this problem.

Unfortunately the developers forgot to put in the 710P04 readme the instruction to synchronize the devices after upgrade..

I have written a knowledgebase and it will be published soon. Here is a screenshot.
