I need to convert SFP to RJ45 so I can connect ethernet to a port on the 2930F 24 port switch.
Just to make sure, I can use this right?

Because the official Aruba ones are way more expensive, so I just want to make sure the Cable Matters one works also.

Actually, the Cable Matters one says this, so if its not compitable with HP, that means Aruba also right?

This should work?  J8177D HPE Aruba Compatible 1000BASE-T SFP Copper RJ-45 100m Transceiver Module for HPE Aruba Switch Series

According to this parts list for 2930F .Aruba 2930F Switch Series - Option Parts

A non genuine J8177D (3rd Party) Transceiver could work provided that you allow unsupported transceivers first with the proper command (I doubt a FS Transceiver will be recognized as an original Aruba one, it will most probably labelled as "unsupported" / "third party" and the allowing unsupported transceivers should be the only way to try it with no warranty at all...being not genuine HPE/Aruba).

Good morning, we use tranceivers from Optical Networking Solutions Supplier | Solid Optics (solid-optics.com) these work very wel on the 2930F. We use the optical and copper ones. Never had a problem with them. The fun part of these optical trancievers are that they are reprogrammable. I you want to use the copper (RJ45) tranceivers for Aruba, then they are specially programmed by Solid optics. If you program them to for example Cisco or Juniper, you can not program them yourself back to Aruba.

So I found an unused port on the switch, so I don't even need this transceiver now.

But, if I did have an un-official 3rd party transceiver, I need to enable it using the command below?

Yes, that command allows the Switch to support 3rd Party Transceivers.
