    Hi there,

hope this is the right forum for this question.

I'm quite new to Stacks and VSF so I'm unsure if I'm understanding it wrong but what I'm trying to do is setup two 6300m Switches as a VSF Stack on Access layer and connect each device with one port combined in an lacp lag to our core switch which is an Aruba 6405.

So what happens is that only one ports comes online and the other one stays offline as if it doesn't even form a connection. I wonder if my thinking is wrong but shouldnt this work because the stack behaves like a single device and if the lag is configured on the stack and the 6405 it should form without any spanning-tree issues. I still wonder though if its connected to the stack and maybe the conductor or standby member.

    on the VSF Stack switch26:

    interface lag 1
        description Uplink_zu_Core1
        no shutdown
        no routing
        vlan trunk native 1
        vlan trunk allowed 1,400-417,419-420,500-505,511-515,520-525,530-535,550-555,560-565,601
        lacp mode active
        dhcpv4-snooping trust

    interface 1/1/51
        description Uplink_zu_Core1_1/4/19
        no shutdown
        lag 1
        apply fault-monitor profile noisy-port

    interface 2/1/51
        description Uplink_zu_Core1_1/4/20
        no shutdown
        lag 1
        apply fault-monitor profile noisy-port

    on the 6405 switch:
    interface lag 19
        description Uplink_Switch26-Stack
        no shutdown
        no routing
        vlan trunk native 1
        vlan trunk allowed 400-402,405-406,409-415,419,500-501,510-511,520-521,530-531,550-551,560-561,601,812
        lacp mode active
        dhcpv4-snooping trust

    interface 1/5/33
        description Switch26-1/51-A4T1
        no shutdown
        lag 19

    interface 1/5/35
        description Switch26-2/51-A4T1
        no shutdown
        lag 19

the second link won't even blink. we tried changing the transceivers, the patch panel port, the cables. Tranceivers are 10G J9150D on both ends.

show lacp interfaces show the second link as down, not lacp-blocked or anything.

thanks in advance for any help or input :)

Are both sides showing not light.  My experience is that if one side is light and the other not then it is a physical connectivity issue.

I will mention, based on your config, that lag 19 is not allowing the native VLAN.  This bit me just this past week.

    Thanks! Good eyes!

I think we found the solution today... It turned out the patch panel ports 7, 8, 10, 11, 12 all didn't manage the 10g but only worked with 1g. Seems like the ports are all dirty or something else is wrong with them...
