Hi Edward,
In an Aruba Instant cluster (virtual controller at one of the APs) you can mixed any type of access points as long all access points in the virtual cluster can run at the same firmware level. So the answer is yes!
Note that the AP-565 run on minimal Aruba InstantOS 8.7.1.0, so you have to minimal upgrade your existing AP305,AP365 to that level or higher.
From radio management perspective i would recommend to place all 802.11ax (WiFi-6) access point in the same area and not mixed with 802.11ac (WiFi-5) in the same area. If mixed you could disable HE SSID on the new access points until your hole area can be covered by WiFi-6 APs.

Subject: Aruba AP300 and AP500 compatbility
Hello,
I'm new and want to apologize if my question has been answered already.
On site I have 50 Aruba APs. Mixture of AP305 and AP365 on 8.6.0.2 firmware.
We are planning to expand and can't get any AP305 or AP365, so I'm looking into buying AP505 and AP565.
Are the AP300 and AP500 compatible assuming it on the same firmware? Will I be able to add AP500 Mo my existing WiFi network and sync?
Regards
Edward
