    Is there any option to turn on and off PoE on a time based manner?
    Because of the high energy prices the idea popped up to turn access points and voip phones after working hours and turn them on early in the morning, so to save 8 hours a day energy. (Maybe I get some kind of Nobel prize for this crazy idea)

    What are Cons?

    Hello, 

    You can achieve this using a job scheduler. The following link explains how the feature works on the ArubaOS-S switches (former HPE ProVision)

    Here you can even find an example called "A pair of jobs that disable PoE during non-working hours"

    The same can be achieved on the ArubaOS-CX swithes. Here is the latest Job Scheduler Guide for reference.

    There is no separate example for PoE but the it can be done similar to the port toggle example but just replacing and adapting few commands.

    This is indeed a great use-case f remote control of POE port.
    Would job-scheduler as mentioned by other forum members is suitable for your need or would you expect a broader POE scheduler control from network management tool ?
