    Hi all,

We have one Aruba IAP-305-RW (JX945A) and several Aruba AP-305 (JX936A). Is it possible to configure Aruba IAP-305 as a Wi-Fi controller for AP-305?

no all the Instant APs when having L2 adjacency will form a cluster, like your IAP-305.
APs that are not instant APs like your AP-305 will always need a controller.

Hi, Factory reset your Aruba AP-305 (JX936A) and connect to a network where DHCP is available. wait a few minutes until after AP boots up. then open your laptop and look for available WiFi networks starting with "Set-me-up-XXX".

If you can see it, then you can build an Instant Cluster with IAP-305-RW (JX945A) + AP-305 (JX936A). because all Aruba APs are now called Unified APs.

The AP-305 is a campus AP only. It's one of the last models that still came as Campus AP or Instant AP before the move to Unified APs.

So what's written in the second part of the post above by NHN is not correct.
