Thanks. I went back to our Azure cloud team and indeed it was a configuration issue from their side. Nothing needed to be done within the Clearpass VM.

First option, redeploy the VM just to see if something went wrong during the installation. Otherwise open a ticket with TAC for possible troubleshooting options as there is nothing in the installation guide specific to the serial console setup.

Hi everyone,
We've just created a couple of Azure Clearpass VM appliances but we're having problems with establishing a serial console connection. Both of them come back with an error message that says: The serial console connection to the VM encountered an error: "ERR_BAD_REQUEST" (403) - Request failed with status code 403.
I've tried Googling this and reading through some of the FAQs but nothing seems to indicate whether this is a problem with Clearpass or with how the Azure environment treats the VM (permissions?). Of course our cloud team blames Aruba but we know this kind of connection can work as we had it working late last year when we spun up another Clearpass VM to trial the service.
Any suggestions?
